The Paper Swan by Leylah Attar- Review

Synopsis:

They say it takes 21 days to form a habit. They lie. For 21 days she held on. But on Day 22, she would have given anything for the sweet slumber of death. Because on Day 22, she realizes that her only way out means certain death for one of the two men she loves.

My Review:

This was one of those books that I could not put down. It is one that I will read again and again, it was THAT good. From page one you are grabbed and never let go until the very last word.

Skye has led a privileged life. She has everything she could ever want. Her father showers her with love and adoration. Nothing could go wrong. Until Skye is taken at gunpoint. At the mercy of her kidnapper, Skye finds comfort in thinking about her childhood in Mexico with her father, her childhood nanny MaMaLu and MaMaLu's son Esteban, not realizing that she knows her captor after all.

Full of twists and surprises, this is a keep you on the edge of your seat read. Love, loss, betrayal, redemption, a story about forgiveness and how the road to revenge can twist you up inside. A definite must read!
